Gyeongjeong Village, also called Chayu Village, is a representative fishing village on the blue East Sea in Gyeongsangbuk-do. It is known for its Yeongdeok snow crab heritage, local specialties such as seaweed, dried squid, and sea urchin, and hands-on programs like night crab catching, snow crab catching, and lantern activities. It also sits along the center of Blue Road Course B, with nearby attractions including Gyeongjeong Beach, Gyeongjeong Port, and Chuksan Port, making it a good place for families, couples, and friends to visit.

11세기 영해 부사가 마을의 형세가 우마차를 타고 넘는 모양과 닮았다하여 차유마을이라고도 불리는 경정마을은 푸른 동해 바다를 끼고 있는 대표적인 어촌마을이다. 예로부터 임금님께 진상된 영덕대게잡이 마을로 명성이 널리 알려져 있어 영덕대게의 기념비가 마을에 있다. 자연산 미역, 건오징어, 성게 등 마을 특산물이 풍부하며 무엇보다 야간 게잡이체험, 대게잡이체험, 풍등체험 등 어린이들이 좋아하는 체험 프로그램이 있는 동해의 대표적인 어촌체험마을이다. 영덕의 아름다운 트래킹 코스인 블루로드 B코스의 중심에 있으며 경정해수욕장, 경정항, 축산항 등 주변에 다양한 관광명소들이 많아 가족, 연인, 친구들과 함께 여행하기에 좋다.
