About this place
Simusa (Geochang) is a temple in the center of the city of Geochang in Gyeongsangnam-do. Founded in 1935, it is known for regular Buddhist services held on the first and fifteenth day of each lunar month, along with its hall, five-story stone pagoda, and bell tower with temple bell.
심우사(거창) — 원문 (Korean original)
심우사(거창포교당)는 1935년 5월 이현보 거사의 땅을 시주받아 월암 승려가 창건하였다. 심우사는 도심 속의 사찰로, 매달 초하루와 보름에 정기 법회를 열어 승려와 신도들이 함께 기도를 올린다. 대웅전과 오층 석탑, 범종루·범종 등이 있다. 또한 법당 안에 보물로 지정된 ‘거창 심우사 목조아미타여래좌상’과 경상남도 문화유산자료로 지정된 ‘거창 심우사 삼장보살탱’이 있다.
