경북 울진군의 특산물인 대게자원 보호와 홍보, 판매를 위한 [울진대게와 붉은대게 축제]가 울진군 후포항 일원에서 개최된다. 울진 지역의 대표적인 겨울 먹거리 축제로 울진군 주요수산 특산물인 울진대게와 붉은대게 우수성을 널리 알리고 울진군의 자치 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 시행하는 행사이다. 축제는 후포항 왕돌초광장에서 개막식을 갖고 축제기간 다양한 행사로 꾸며진다.
