About this place
Located in Jung-gu, Daegu, this center opened in 2012 to provide convenience facilities and useful information for visitors to the nearby historic homes of Lee Sang-hwa and Seo Sang-don, which are key stops on the downtown alley tour. It features an information theater for the Gyesan-dong and central downtown area, an exhibition room with text and video on Daegu’s modern history, and a hanok exhibition hall showcasing the area’s active cultural and artistic life in the modern era.

대구 중구에 위치한 근대문화체험관 계산예가는 도심골목투어의 핵심거점인 이상화, 서상돈 고택 방문객을 위한 편의시설과 다양한 정보를 제공하기 위해 2012년 개관하였으며, 계산동을 포함한 도심일원에 대해 안내하는 영상관, 대형 입체페널에서 텍스트와 영상을 통해 대구 근대역사에 대한 정보를 제공하는 전시실, 근대기 이 지역의 활발했던 문화예술활동에 대한 정보를 전시물과 E-BOOK 등으로 접할 수 있는 한옥전시관으로 구성되어 있다.
