About this place
This festival is based on Namsadang play, recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. It offers traditional culture experiences, domestic and international traditional performances, overseas folk performances, and Anseong’s Old Market, which recreates the lively feel of one of the three great marketplaces of the Joseon period. Visitors can also get close to tightrope walking and Namsadang performances and experience the appeal of Korean traditional culture through performances that blend the traditional and the modern.

*하기 축제 먹거리 내용은 전년도(2025년) 축제 내용으로, 2026년도 축제 내용은 업데이트 중에 있습니다.*안성맞춤 남사당 바우덕이축제는 유네스코 인류무형문화유산으로 지정된 남사당놀이를 소재로 한 축제이다. 조선 최초 여성 꼭두쇠 바우덕이의 예술혼과 안성 남사당패의 흥과 멋을 계승·발전시키며, 조선시대 전국 3대 장터의 풍성한 모습을 재현한 안성 옛장터를 비롯해 전통문화 체험, 국내외 전통예술 공연, 해외 민속공연 등 남녀노소 모두가 함께 즐길 수 있는 다채로운 프로그램을 선보인다. 특히 줄타기와 남사당놀이의 진수를 가까이에서 만나고, 전통과 현대가 어우러진 공연을 통해 한국 전통문화의 매력을 생생하게 경험할 수 있다. 역사와 문화, 공연, 관광이 어우러진 안성맞춤 남사당 바우덕이축제는 국내외 관광객이 함께 즐기는 문화관광축제로 자리매김하며, 대한민국을 대표하는 전통문화축제로 발전하고 있다.
