To mark the 50th anniversary of the Seoul Independent Film Festival (SIFF), 100 representative works have been selected from a pool of 2,699 films, including award-winning works from 1975 to 1998 and screened films after 1999. This selection process involved 40 independent film experts, including creators, critics, researchers, and programmers, who participated in surveys and deliberations.The resulting list reflects 50 years of history, starting with small-scale and short films, progressing through the era of new film movements, and culminating in the establishment of independent cinema as a central part of Korean film culture.※ Includes Korean short films selected from award-winning works (19751998) and screened films (19992023).※ The list is presented in no particular order, based on the year of screening.
